Mitsubishi has issued a recall notice for nearly 7000 MY2008-2009 Lancer Evolution, Ralliart, and Sportback Ralliart models with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine for a potentially leaky fuel return pipe.
The pipe has been known to crack and leak fuel when the engine is revved for prolonged periods of time at certain rpms. As a result, the potential for a fire is high.
Dealers are instructed to replace the part with a sturdier version on or before September 29, 2009. For more details click here.
