Facelifted 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo revealed

The facelifted 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo will be debuted at the Frankfurt motor show in September. Before that, Porsche has release some details.

The updated Porsche 911 Turbo has a new 3.8-liter direct-injected engine generating an output of 500 horsepower – up 20 horsepower on the outgoing model, mated to Porsche's 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission (optional). With that power, the 2010 911 Turbo will be the fastest accelerating AWD production Porsche in history. Top speed will reach to 194 mph, with a 0-60-mph time of 3.2 seconds.

If customers choose the optional PDK, then a 3-spoke steering wheel with gearshift paddles will be available, instead of the standard wheel with shift buttons.

Besides the more power, the new Turbo also gets significant improvements in fuel economy. The data is 11.4 liters/ 100 km. Furthermore, thanks to the tweaks to the all-wheel drive and Porsche Stability Management systems, the vehicle has also improved handling and agility. A new PTV (Porsche Torque Vectoring) is also available as an option.

Porshce hasn’t touched the exterior much. The mods limites to chrome headlight surrounds, restyled foglights and new wheel designs.

Both Coupe and Cabrio version will be on offer. Sales in Germany will start on November 21st, while next January in the U.S. Pricing will start from $132,800 for the Coupe and $143,800 for the Cabriolet.
