Audi has revealed this, the new Audi A4 Allroad quattro, only the second new model in the Allroad series since the first Audi A6 Allroad was launched in 1999.
Based on the A4 Avant, the Audi A4 Allroad quattro is expected to go on sale in the UK this summer, with prices kicking off at £29,500. Three engines will be available: one petrol and two diesels.

The 208bhp 2.0-litre TFSI petrol will be the entry-level Audi A4 Allroad quattro; it manages 0-62mph in 6.9sec and should average 29mpg. Next up is the 170bhp 2.0 TDI, which offers an 8.9sec 0-60mph time and 36.8mpg.
Top of the tree is the 237bhp Audi A4 Allroad quattro 3.0 V6 diesel, which is good for 62mph in 6.4sec and an average fuel consumption of 33.2mpg.
The TFSI unit is hooked up to a six-speed manual ’box, while the diesels get a seven-speed dual-clutch system, with wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The quattro transmission splits the power 40/60 front to rear.
Cosmetically, the Audi A4 Allroad avoids the usual lower body cladding, getting just grey sills and flared wheel arch extensions. The lower bumpers are painted the same colour and house stainless steel underbody guards. Roof rails are standard.
The A4 Allroad’s track is 20mm wider than the standard A4’s and it rides on taller springs, but Audi has not yet revealed the ground clearance.
All A4 Allroads get Offroad Detection Technology. This senses the type of road surface and automatically adjusts the car’s ESP system to cope.
The xenon lights pictured here are optional, along with a two-part panoramic glass sunroof, three-zone climate control, active cruise control, hard drive storage and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround sound system.
