You don’t often get something for nothing, but that’s exactly what Honda is offering with its latest limited edition. The new Civic Ti has a sporty makeover inspired by the brand’s British Touring Car Championship racer.
In a nod to one of its main sponsors, the five-door gets 17-inch ‘Pro Race’ wheels from Team Dynamics, finished in matt black. These contrast with the Premium White Pearl paint, but match the Crystal Black ‘GP’ bodykit – which comprises a front spoiler, side skirt inserts and rear trim.
Inside is a high-end sat-nav from Pioneer – another headline sponsor of the BTCC team. This touchscreen system features 3D graphics and a USB connection.
The Ti is based on the 1.4 or 1.8 i-VTEC SE models, and has a total of £3,700 worth of extra kit, but doesn’t add any premium to either’s price. In fact, the 138bhp 1.8 model – which can cover 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds – is £355 less!
Prices start at £15,995 for the 1.4 and £16,995 for the 1.8. You’ll have to be fast to get one, though. Only 500 have been earmarked for the UK when sales start in June. For more details click here.
