Since the cat is already out of the bag, Volkswagen isn't exactly trying to cover up the single cab version of its coming Amarok small truck, which was recently caught testing. It's expected that the single cab variant will debut soon after the crew cab edition arrives in Europe and South America early next year.
It'll likely get some available feature differentiations as a result of its natural "workhorse" designation. Rumors also suggest it'll come in either four-wheel or rear-wheel drive, in addition to the truck's already announced 2.0L TDi (120 or 158 horsepower) powertrains.
There are no plans as of yet to import the truck to the U.S.
