Chevrolet Beat India Launch : The Auto Expo 2010 starting on January 5 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, is going to hit the headlines for the sheer number of new cars and launches.
Chevrolet India has launched their new small car Beat in the Indian market today. The very talented small new Chevvy has been priced at a shocking Rs 3.34 Lakhs for the base model with power steering and A/C as standard. The Chevrolet Beat will be available in two versions i.e. petrol and diesel versions.“With its best-in-segment design, performance and safety, the Beat is destined to become an industry benchmark and a winner among consumers in India,” General Motors (GM) India President and Managing Director Karl Slym told reporters here.
The Chevrolet Beat is expected to produce mileage between 14 km/liter within the city and 18 km/liter on highways. The new small car will be launched in India on January 4, 2010 just before the start of Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The Chevrolet Beat will also be displayed at 10th Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi. The small car from General Motors will be available in sportylook.
The super value for money pricing means that the new Beat is almost Rs 60,000 cheaper than its 1.2 Litre competition. Even the top end ABS and Airbags version is cheaper than Rs 45,000 when compared to the likes of Maruti Ritz and Hyundai i10.
Other variants include the mid tier LS, the top end LT and the top end LT with option pack that comes with ABS and Airbags. The car will be available in showrooms today onwards and can be booked immediately.

The Beat will come in three variants. The Base PS version comes with power steering, manual AC and rear folding seats. This version comes priced at Rs 3.34 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi. Next up is the LS version, which features a chrome grille, central locking system and rear parcel tray. The LS comes at a cost of Rs 3.54 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
The fully-loaded LT variant has roof rails, auto AC, tilt steering and rear power windows. ABS and airbags are on the options list. All of this at a price of Rs 3.94 lakh. The Beat will be on display at the General Motors pavillion at the 2010 Auto Expo.
