Honda Fit is unchanged for 2010

Completely redesigned for 2009, the Honda Fit is unchanged for 2010, save for the deletion of a paint colour.

Available only as a four-door hatchback, the Fit uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic. Trim lines are the DX, LX and Sport.

Features on the DX include 15-inch steel wheels, power mirrors, two-speed intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, power windows with driver’s side auto up/down, tilt and telescopic steering column, fuel consumption display, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, front stabilizer bar, and 60/40 split-folding rear “Magic Seat”.

The LX adds 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, body-colour side mirrors and door handles, roofline spoiler, power locks with keyless entry, cruise control, and rear speakers.

The Sport adds 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear stabilizer bars, security system, chrome headlight bezels, chrome exhaust finisher, fog lamps, underbody spoiler kit, leather-wrapped wheel, six speakers and USB jack.

The Fit’s “Magic Seat” is a 60/40 folding rear seat combined with a lowered floor, made possible by relocating the fuel tank to an otherwise unused midsection of the chassis. The seat can be folded flat into “utility” mode, into “long” mode with rear and front passenger seat folded; “refresh” mode, with the front seats reclined to form leg rests for rear-seat passengers when the car is parked; and “tall” mode, with the rear seat flipped up, creating a storage area up to 126 cm tall.
