The Pagani Zonda Cinque is already exclusive and typical Italian exotic for most people. But it seems that there is no end in pursuing. Now the Zonda Cinque Roadster is here.
Like the Zonda Cinque sibling, the Roadster is also produced in the Modenese Atelier in a limited production run of merely five exclusive pieces. The street-legal Zonda R is almost identical to the hardtop, though the carbon-titanium chassis has been tweaked to accommodate the removable roof. With the top removed, the Zonda Cinque Roadster sports a mostly-open cabin with only an engine air scoop protruding above. The roof is stored up front. Despite the modifications, the car tips the scales at just 1,210kg, the same as that of the hardtop.
Powered by a slightly detuned version of the 7.3L V12 engine found in other Zondas that produces 678hp (505kW) and 575lb-ft (780Nm) of torque, the Cinque makes the run from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of over 200mph. Besides the power, there are also some other specifications mark the Zonda Cinque Roadster as the most exotic of exotics, such as ceramic-coated titanium exhaust, traction control and a six-speed sequential transmission by Cima. The nineteen- and twenty-inch aluminum/magnesium wheels are forged by APP and wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber, and of course Brembo provides carbo-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers.
Thanks to the different drive modes of the newly developed sequential robostized gearbox and a fully adjustable suspension setup, one can enjoy driveability and ultimate performance in any condition.
