Not content with the recently debuted Sonata and impending Equus, Hyundai is chugging along on the next generation of the Azera. Our fearless spy photographers captured the full-size sedan undergoing winter testing at an undisclosed location.
While camouflage covers most details, the general shape of the next Azera seems a little more graceful than that of the current model, with more dramatically raked front and rear glass. An indication of the design language used on the new Sonata, perhaps?
In its current generation, the Azera has been on-sale since 2005. It received a refresh in 2009 that added updates to the interior, a new grill, wheels, and Bluetooth integration.
We hear the next Azera will enter the market in 2012, slotted between the Genesis and Sonata, with a line of V-6 engines. Stay tuned.
